LOW NOISE FREQUENCY CONVERTER
The FC-XXX-10P is a Low Noise Frequency Converter for Optical to RF Signals. The XXX in the part number indicates the repetition rate of the optical signal, with available options of 080, 100, 125, 160, 200, or 250 MHz.
The instrument takes a 800 to 1650 nm pulsed optical signal at 3 mW, with a repetition rate of XXX and generates output signals at 10 MHz, 100 MHz and 1 PPS that derive their phase noise and stability from the reference optical signal.
The 10 MHz output is provided with a power level of +12 +/- 1 dBm and the 100 MHz output with a power level of +8 +/- 1 dBm. The 1PPS output provides a TTL, one pulse per second signal with pulse width of 8 ns for an unsynchronized signal and 512 μs for a synchronized signal.
The instrument is housed in a 2U, half rack enclosure and operates with 100-240 VAC, 47-63 Hz power source.
